Hybrid lenses are fabricated by using a UV-curable resin to form an aspherical surface on a spherical glass lens. The manufacture of these hybrid lenses, which combine the durability of glass lenses with the advanced performance of aspherical lenses, is another field of specialization for the optics master Nittoh.
We have established production technologies for manufacturing everything from small diameter to large diameter hybrid lenses. Hybrid lenses enable more compact and higher precision design that in the past, which has enabled the manufacture of higher performance products for applications such as digital cameras, still cameras, CCD lenses, imaging, and laser optics.
