Nittoh has used its unique optical technologies to design the optimum lens shape and scattering coefficient to provide uniform illumination while maintaining the transmission efficiency of the lens.
Our Scattering Ray Control lens uses a polymer that enables multiple scattering of the incoming light and efficient transport of the outgoing light in the forward direction, which realizes highly efficient illumination with low power consumption.

Reduced unevenness of illumination
Nittoh’s lens optical design reduces the uneven brightness and uneven coloring of LED light sources to create a uniform diffuse illumination.
Reduced number of LEDs in LED arrays
Light scattering enables fewer LEDs in LED arrays/bars, which leads to reduced costs and reduced power consumption.

Surface emission reduces glare, providing a more comfortable, gentle light for people.
The light transmission (proportion of light reflected back) of general lighting covers is between 40 and 50%. In other words, only half of the light hitting the cover passes through, and this represents a considerable waste of energy.
Nittoh has designed the optimum lens shape and scattering coefficient to provide uniform illumination while maintaining the high transmission efficiency of the lens. Clear acrylic lenses have an outgoing light efficiency of 87% at a light distribution angle of 10°. The SRC lens has outgoing light efficiency on the same level as clear lenses even at light distribution angles of 15°, 20° or 25° (outgoing light efficiency of 86.9%, 86.7% and 86.2% respectively). We guarantee high efficiency, so try for yourself the high efficiency illumination and low power consumption of these special lenses.
