

Nittoh has developed an original Scattering Ray Control (SRC) lens for LED illumination, which is a light source module using special optical lenses to enable highly efficient illumination with low power consumption. Because surface emission occurs from a large emission surface, considerably fewer LEDs are required compared to conventional LED light source modules. The optimum optical design also highly efficiently directs the luminous flux from the LED light source to the sign face, achieving both high illumination and low power consumption.

LED light source modules for backlit signboards consist of a white LED and a special 160×160 mm optical lens. In other words, luminescence from a single LED element can be converted and expanded to surface emission from a 160×160 mm panel. This method has realized highly efficient illumination of the front surface, creating uniform illumination without uneven coloring or uneven brightness.
