Fθ (F-Theta) lenses
Fθ (F-Theta) lenses are optical lenses used in applications like laser printers and markers.
Normal-focal-length lens distortion: y = f tan θ
F-Theta lens distortion: y = f θ

The characteristics of F-Theta lenses enable a constant scanning speed for lasers.
By varying the curvature of the combined lens surfaces, the lenses can be designed so that scanning speed remains constant at both the lens center and the lens periphery.
