For more than 60 years since the company was founded, Nittoh has been expanding its business using Five Core Technologies centered on optics. Optical Elements: Our roots lie in the manufacturing technologies we use to manufacture glass optical elements in all kinds of shapes and with all kinds of functionality. We have pursued the full potential of optical elements using advanced polishing, centering and edging, and multi-layer coating technologies together with leading-edge equipment. Mold Design & Manufacture: We have also designed and manufactured many high precision molds, predominantly for the manufacture of optical elements. Actively adopting leading-edge processing machines, and creating mirror finishes with unique plating technologies and highly skilled workers, we are meeting the needs for ever more advanced molds. Plastic Molding: The molding of aspherical lenses, which is expanding the potential of optical elements, forms the base of our plastic molding technologies. We are meeting the needs for more advanced optical elements through high cost efficiencies and production capabilities, and in addition to molding lens elements, we are actively involved with injection molding of non-lens products in collaborations with our mold division. Surface Treatment: We have further refined our high quality coating technologies, which were cultivated over many years of coating cameras, as we pursue more advanced coating technologies applied in Class 10000 clean rooms. We offer a range of new coating technologies such as UV coatings and water-borne painting, and will continue to take on the challenges presented by new technologies. Optical Solutions: Nittoh wants to be your optical solutions partner providing an integrated production system from development through to manufacture of increasingly sophisticated and complex optical equipment.
